Actively accepting working adults

Graduate school

Day and night classes

In order to meet the societal demand for recurrent education for working adults, all graduate schools at our university have introduced special exceptions to the educational policy stipulated in Article 14 of the Graduate School Establishment Standards (day and evening course system), established a flexible educational environment and research system, and actively accept working adults.

Education and Training Benefits System [Designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare]

The "Education and Training Benefit System" is a system that provides a portion of the costs of education and training designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare to those who take and complete education and training courses designated by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare in order to support workers' independent skill development.

Long-term course enrollment and early completion systems

The "long-term study system" is a system that allows students to plan and complete their studies beyond the standard period of study due to personal circumstances, such as having a job. This allows students to complete their master's degree in 3 or 4 years (standard period of study is 2 years) and their doctoral degree in 4 to 6 years (standard period of study is 3 years). The annual tuition fee for long-term study students is the amount paid for the standard period of study divided by the period of long-term study, which reduces the annual tuition fee.

The "Early Completion System" allows students to complete their studies in less than the standard period (one year or more) if they are recognized as having made particularly outstanding achievements in their graduate school.

All graduate schools at our university have systems for "early completion" and "extended course completion," making it possible for students to complete graduate school in accordance with their own research plans and life plans.
