Modern Business Major
The tourism field has been added to the business accounting field of the Modern Business major from 2022. The tourism field is made up of curricula on Asian tourism and regional tourism, and aims to cultivate talented people who have advanced expertise and research capabilities for hospitality and tourism development and who will play a central role in the tourism industry.
Research Field Overview
In the "Business, Accounting and Tourism" field, we aim to train businesspeople who are knowledgeable in tourism and accounting work, who will be able to achieve a competitive advantage in business and who will have the advanced expertise and wide-ranging knowledge to play an active role as highly skilled professionals in the future.
In the "Management" field, we aim to train entrepreneurs, managers, and researchers who have the ability to identify and solve problems related to business management, people, things, money, and information. As students progress through specialized learning, they aim to improve each student's research capabilities. Graduates include business people, tax accountants, civil servants, and high school and vocational school teachers.

Professor Doi Issei's laboratory focuses on companies that are "small and located in rural areas, but have an overwhelming share of the global market."
Using actual corporate examples, we will uncover the secret behind the "unique strength of local companies" that has not been revealed through previous research that has focused on large corporations.
