Brand System

As we celebrate our 65th anniversary in 2025, we have formulated a new brand message that expresses the aspirations that our faculty and staff should strive to achieve for the future. Based on this new brand message, we will accelerate our efforts to foster talent who will play an active role in Fukuoka, Kyushu, and the world, to produce research results that contribute to solving social issues, and to strengthen our ties with the local community, thereby fulfilling our mission.

The educational goals of our university are guided by our founding principles and ideals

■ Education that develops creative abilities and teaches applied skills without being overly theory-based

■ Education that fosters an understanding of the diverse cultures of the world, as well as one's own culture, and the sensitivity to these cultures

■ Taking advantage of Kyushu's location, we provide education with an eye on the Asia-Pacific region

Our graduate school has established an education and research system with the aim of realizing our founding ideal of "Unification of Industry and Academia." In other words, we aim to foster collaboration between "industry" (the industrial world) and "academia" (university), and to provide education and research that utilizes "academia" for "industry." Based on our founding ideal, we aim to cultivate highly skilled human resources who can respond to the global, knowledge-based society of the 21st century. We place emphasis on developing intellect, sensitivity, and creativity. As a comprehensive university with graduate schools in social sciences and science and engineering, as well as arts and international culture, our university makes it possible to put this kind of education and research into practice.
