Message from the President

Our university aims to be a "global comprehensive university that integration of humanities, sciences, and arts" and is committed to nurturing highly specialized talent with rich creativity and sensitivity by implementing a long-term vision based on a bold concept and taking steady steps to realize it.

I want students to predict the future, make hypotheses, tackle things, and acquire the ability to think dynamically and creatively. I think that thinking that transcends the time axis and aims for the next era, so-called design thinking, is extremely important. To do that, each student needs to learn a variety of things that go beyond boundaries, combining the humanities, sciences, and arts.

What we want to foster are practical "T-shaped challengers" who combine generalists with knowledge of a wide range of genres and specialists in specific fields, who are highly motivated to take on new challenges, and who can contribute to the community. To that end, all faculties offer T-shaped learning that integration of humanities, sciences, and arts, PBL-style learning in collaboration with the community and industry, and learning that will ensure that each student's "exit" is met, such as obtaining the qualifications or licenses they are aiming for.
