This Code of Conduct sets out the principles of compliance that are necessary to comply with not only laws and regulations, but also social norms, including ethical standards, and university rules and regulations. It is the basic principles that all employees must follow without exception.

1. behavioral guidelines

  1. School staff will not be involved in any activities that may be problematic in light of compliance issues.
  2. In the event of any compliance violations, deviations, or negligence, the school will frankly admit this and promptly take corrective measures.
  3. The school will take a firm stance against anti-social forces that pose a threat to social order, the safety of civil society, or the sound activities of the school, and will not provide any economic benefits to them.
  4. The school will maintain healthy and proper relationships with supervisory authorities, politicians and government officials, and will not make illegal political donations, provide illegal benefits or offer bribery.

2. Code of Conduct

  1. In order to realize the ideals and principles upon which our school was founded, we will contribute to society by conducting education, research and operations based on our code of conduct.
  2. We are aware of our public nature and social responsibilities as a school corporation, and will comply with all laws, regulations, social norms including ethics, and school rules, such as employment regulations.
  3. We will proactively disclose information to the wider public.
    1. Information regarding the corporation and the schools it establishes, as well as information handled in the course of carrying out its business, will be managed appropriately.
    2. We will strive to properly manage and protect information, including preventing inappropriate disclosure, leakage, and improper use.
    3. We will protect personal information and collect, use and manage it in an appropriate manner.
  4. We respect basic human rights.
    1. We respect the basic human rights, values, individuality, and privacy of individuals, and will not engage in any discriminatory behavior based on race, nationality, sex, age, physical differences, or other grounds, or any acts that ignore the dignity of others, such as violence, harassment (sexual harassment, power harassment, academic harassment, etc.), or bullying.
    2. We will respect the individuality, personality and values of students, fellow faculty and staff, and all those with whom we come into contact in the course of our work.
    3. If any discriminatory treatment or other violation of human rights occurs, the company will take appropriate and decisive action.
    4. We respect people, strive to create a comfortable and safe workplace, and prevent industrial accidents.
    5. In addition to observing discipline and working diligently at our jobs, we will also strive to behave responsibly as independent members of society, with modesty and good sense in our private lives.
  5. We will actively strive to prevent harassment and provide appropriate relief to victims.
  6. We will conduct procurement activities fairly and impartially.
    1. We comply with laws and regulations and procure goods, works, services, etc. at appropriate quality and prices through fair trading relationships.
    2. We provide competitive opportunities to our suppliers in a fair and equitable manner.
    3. We will not enter into any agreements with procurement partners regarding prices, quotations, or bid amounts, or that would lead to the exclusion of competitors.
    4. We will not accept any personal benefits from suppliers in connection with our business.
    5. We will not only conduct business honestly in accordance with laws, regulations and business practices, but also faithfully fulfill our contractual obligations with our suppliers.
    6. We will not misuse any procured goods, works, or services for personal use.
  7. We will not make inappropriate expenditures that violate laws, regulations or sound business practices.
    We will not entertain or give gifts to government officials, and will maintain appropriate relationships with related parties.
  8. We will comply with accounting laws and standards and carry out correct accounting procedures.
    1. We will not provide false information to any government agency.
    2. We strive to improve accounting operations, record accounting information accurately, and do not engage in improper accounting practices.
    3. We strive to disclose accounting information promptly and accurately, and do not make reports that may lead to misunderstandings or doubts.
  9. We will proactively address environmental issues.
    We are strongly aware of the importance of environmental issues and aim to operate the university in harmony with the environment and the local community.
