In the coming age, it will be photography and video professionals who will lead the way.

Department of Photography and Imaging Arts

Now that anyone can easily post beautiful photos and videos via social media, there is a greater need than ever for professionals who can produce higher quality and richer works. We aim to be professionals who are interested in the trends of the times, such as changes in the ecosystem and the widening division and disparity in society, and who can lead the photo and video culture of the future.

Characteristics of the Department

01State- of-the-art video media production facilities

The filming equipment and software are of the highest professional standard in Japan. Students will learn from active film directors and acquire a full range of video production techniques, from filming to editing and audio.

Four-year learning process

  • Photography Major

    In this day and age when anyone can take photos, we need to develop true professionals.

    Through practical training, students will learn the basics of photography, from shooting to image processing, printing, exhibitions, and book production, enhancing the practicality and artistic value of photography. Based on education based on sensitivity and perception, we aim to train photography professionals who can thrive in a variety of shooting situations.

    Learn from active video creators how to survive in the ever-diversifying video media world

    We produce visual media creators who have mastered the techniques and methodologies of visual expression in general, including film, television, 3DCG, music videos, etc. Students will learn from active video creators about the creation of highly creative works, including film production, VFX, and special effects techniques, and acquire high-level specialized knowledge that can handle the latest technology.
