A facility open to the community that supports mental health

This is a center with various functions aimed at providing mental care. It is run by staff members, mainly teachers who are licensed psychologists and clinical psychologists, and offers individual counseling, workshops, seminars, and more.

Please feel free to use our facilities. Our center also serves as a training facility for graduate students of our university.

Consulting services information

First counseling session	90 minutes	2,000 yen	During the first interview, we will ask you detailed information about your enquiry.
Second and subsequent times counseling	50 minutes	2,000 yen	We will meet on an ongoing basis, such as once a week or once every two weeks.
Through play counseling	50 minutes	2,000 yen	We primarily target children and place importance on expression through free play.

Psychological testing	Depends on the content	3,000 yen	We will conduct specialized psychological testing. Please contact us to inquire about the availability of this testing.

*Not covered by health insurance.

*Students of this university should use the Student Counseling Room on the 3rd floor of Building 1.

Consultation process

Consultations require an appointment. Please make an appointment by phone.

Reservation reception hours	10:00am - 4:30pm (Monday - Saturday) For inquiries outside of business hours, please use our answering machine. Applications may be suspended during the New Year holidays, spring, and summer.

Opening hours	10:00am - 6:00pm (Monday - Saturday) Excluding Sundays, public holidays, New Year's holidays, and summer holidays. The date and time of counseling will be arranged with your counselor. Currently, we may be at capacity on some days of the week and unable to accept new consultation requests. Please be aware of this before contacting us. We are currently receiving many applications, so for new consultations, it may take some time before you can receive your first consultation after we receive your application. Please contact us for details on when you can come for a consultation.

Request a consultation

1. Applying by phone: We will briefly ask you about the details of your consultation. Please also let us know your preferred date and time for the first consultation.
2. We will contact you to schedule your first counseling session.: A counselor will contact you within a few days of submitting your application.
3. First counseling session: We will ask you about your inquiry in detail. Please be careful when you come.
4. Determination of person in charge from the second time onwards: Depending on the content of your consultation, we will decide who will be in charge from the second visit onwards. Depending on the content of your consultation, we may introduce you to a more appropriate institution.
5. We will contact you to schedule future counseling sessions.: Within about 2 to 3 weeks after the first counseling session, the person in charge of the second or subsequent sessions will call you. If we need to introduce you to a more appropriate institution, the person in charge of the first session will call you.

Q&A Frequently Asked Questions

Can I come in for a consultation on the day I call?: Our center operates by appointment only. It takes a few days from application to deciding the date of the first counseling session. Please note that we cannot accept counseling on the same day that you call.

I can't come in for consultation myself, but is it okay for me to come in for consultation?: Our center also accepts consultations from family members and those around you. Depending on the content of your consultation, we may refer you to other institutions.

Can I consult over the phone?: Our center does not accept consultations via telephone, fax or email.

I am currently in the hospital.: Please consult with your doctor and bring a referral letter.

About the interviewer: Our graduate school is a designated graduate school for training licensed psychologists and clinical psychologists. Therefore, our center also serves as a training institution for graduate students, and counseling is provided by graduate students (master's and doctoral programs) majoring in clinical psychology under the guidance of university faculty.
