Health room

The school doctor provides examinations and consultations. As a rule, students will be referred to a nearby medical institution for the treatment of illnesses, but minor wounds may be treated and one-off medication may be prescribed. Counsellors at the Student Counseling Office are available to provide advice on worries, but if medical help is required, the school doctor will also refer students to an appropriate medical institution.

Our school conducts regular health checkups every year from the end of March to the beginning of April. In addition to the items stipulated by the School Health and Safety Act, we also include tests that we believe are important for maintaining your health. Please be sure to take the checkup every year. Students enrolled in the teacher training course will need a certificate stating the results of their health checkup when they go on a hands-on nursing care training course.

Students who use various equipment in X-ray controlled areas and students who handle hazardous materials are required to undergo special health examinations every six months in addition to their regular health examinations.

Regular health checkups are outsourced to an external institution, but if any abnormal findings are found, students will be examined and advised by a school doctor at the health office. As this is necessary for students to lead a student life and to maintain their health in the future, students may be referred to an external medical institution for further examinations and treatment. If you receive such a referral, please visit the health office as soon as possible.
