This is a question we get asked a lot by many of you.

What do you do in counselling?
A professional counselor will listen to your story in a private room. By talking to the counselor, you can sort out your feelings and think about the worries you are having together with the counselor. If necessary, we will also introduce you to support organizations on and off campus.
Is there a fee for counselling?
Counselling at the Student Counseling Office is free of charge.
Can my family use it too?
Yes, you can. If the student is unable to come to the office, we will ask the family to come to the office and together we will consider how to respond to the student and how to support them in the future. As the family gains more understanding, the situation may improve.
Will my secrets be kept?
Your confidentiality will be maintained. However, please understand that if we deem it necessary to protect the person seeking advice, we may contact departments within the university or external agencies.
I really want to hear from you right now.
Generally, appointments are given priority, but in the case of an emergency, we accept appointments without reservations. Please inform the Student Counseling Office. If all appointments are booked, you will have to wait. Thank you for your understanding.
