Collaboration with Tainan Applied Science University! We spoke at the symposium

 

On Friday, October 20th, the 14th Design Innovation & Application Symposium was held at Tainan University of Science and Technology in Taiwan, where Professor Sanpei Yamashita, professor in Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering Department of Civil and Urban Design Engineering and director of the Landscape Research Center, and Professor Hidechika Fukuyama, professorDepartment of Housing and Interior took the stage to give presentations.

Participation in this symposium is part of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on research collaboration signed at the end of August between Landscape Research Center and the Department of Interior Design at the University's Faculty of Design.

The symposium focused on interior design practice and academic research, including urban design, regional renovation, and green building. Professor Yamashita gave a presentation on "Traditional dry landscape gardens and new rain garden designs as methods of combating heavy rain caused by global warming," while Professor Fukuyama gave a presentation on "Challenges in architectural spaces with commercial clusters."

In addition, a new research and design practice and technology exchange agreement has been signed with the Taiwan Society of Interior Designers (TSID: Taiwan Society of Interior Designers), which is headed by Chiao-Yue Huang, Chair of the Department of Interior Design at the University's Faculty of Design. This will further solidify the foundation for research and practice, and we hope to see the development of various international exchanges in the future.
