The effectiveness of English learning is determined by the "class content that can comfortably improve your current ability." For this reason, we will remove the boundaries of departments and organize small classes based on ability based on test results for all students. Whether you are good at English or not, you will definitely improve your level through thorough small-group classes based on ability.
1.Small classes organized according to ability
Based on the placement test in the first year and the achievement test (TOEIC Bridge®) at the end of the year, all grades are roughly divided into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced, and in the humanities, students are further divided into more than 55 detailed classes. Students can improve their English skills and gain confidence by taking classes that are suited to their level.
2Original text
For both first and second year students, three original Kyushu Sangyo University textbooks are available corresponding to three different levels.
Includes complete content aligned with the curriculum for each class, including reading, listening, English conversation, and grammar.
Studying this text thoroughly is the surest way to improve your skills.
3Original e-Learning
You can also study the contents of the original textbook through Kyushu Sangyo University 's original e-Learning. The LL Library on the 4th floor of Building 1 has many dedicated terminals, and you can see students using these terminals to prepare and review their work during their free time or after school. In addition, it is possible to connect from outside, so students can use it at any time.
Career English Program
The Career English Program is a program in which students who have achieved numerical goals in English education hone their "usable English skills" through practical lessons with native instructors, making them immediately useful in the business world.
Students who acquire the required number of credits to complete the program and reach their final goal of achieving a TOEIC® score of 650 will be issued a "Career English Program Completion Certificate."
KSU Overseas Job Training/Domestic Job Training
abroad
- Third-year students will take part in an intensive English training program in Sydney, Australia and an internship at an overseas company during the summer vacation, and will acquire English communication skills that are useful in the international community.
Domestic
- This program is aimed at second- to fourth-year students and involves a one-week intensive English training camp taught by native English speakers. Afterwards, students will experience an internship at a domestic company or organization that does international business, where they will gain exposure to real-life English.
*For both programs, trainees are selected from students who achieve the target score in English education. In addition, most of the training costs are supported by the university as a scholarship.
