Professor Jeong Seung-hyuk of theDepartment of Visual Design Faculty of Art and Design, was commissioned by the Fukuoka Prefectural Government's General Policy Division to create the logo design for the prefecture's SDGs promotion portal site, "Sustainer Fukuoka."
The design is based on the theme of "water," the city of Fukuoka, and evokes the image of a "gentle flow" that flows from rivers to the sea, and then on to waves and wind. The use of a soft, rounded font conveys warmth, making environmental concerns and actions feel familiar. The concept is a design that is approachable to everyone and leads to "positive action" towards a sustainable society.
Our university will continue to actively work to solve local issues and contribute to society through the power of design.
