On Thursday, April 24th, Kyushu Sangyo University FY2025 Study Abroad Permit Presentation Ceremony was held at the university's Global Plaza, and President Misayoshi Kitajima handed out permits to the nine students selected as study abroad students this year.
Our university's study abroad program sends students to partner universities with which we have international exchange agreements, such as the UK, France, and Korea, for exchange studies. Students who are highly motivated to participate in international exchange and pass a document screening and language test are selected as study abroad students. All students are provided with a scholarship, and credits earned at the host university are recognized according to the faculty's standards.
President Kitajima encouraged the students, saying, "What I want you to learn during your study abroad experience is sensitivity and practical skills. While you come into contact with diverse people and cultures and experience various sites and realities around the world, you will work hard with local students to hone your international perspective and acquire the ability to express yourself. I hope that you will not limit yourself and will boldly take on a variety of challenges. I wish you all a fruitful and safe study abroad experience."
As a student representative, Kotomi Arakawa (Higashi Chikushi Gakuen High School), a fourth-year student in Faculty of Commerce who will be studying abroad at Ewha Womans University in South Korea starting in September, made the oath, saying, "We pledge to deepen our intercultural understanding through active interaction with local students and teachers, build relationships of trust, and work hard toward our respective goals."
Our university has established a study abroad program to cultivate human resources who can play an active role globally in an increasingly diversifying society.
