On Wednesday, April 1st, the entrance ceremony for Kyushu Sangyo University and Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design Design was held at the university gymnasium, "Okusu Arena 2020," welcoming 3,125 new students to the 9 faculties, 5 graduate schools, and Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design.
University President Misayoshi Kitajima (pictured left) offered a welcoming address, saying, "Through learning unique to our university, such as the quarter-based platform and the integration of humanities, sciences, and arts problem-solving curriculum, we hope that you will acquire rich sensibilities and advanced expertise, and grow into individuals who can contribute to the local community."
Kenji Yanagi President Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design (pictured right), encouraged the new students, saying, "In the privileged environment of our college, hone your sensibilities by taking on challenges without fear of failure, and shape your future with the power of art."
Representing the new students, Ako Kumamoto (Kurume Shin-ai High School) from Faculty of Life Science Faculty of Life Sciences, and Satomi Yahiro (Kashii High School) from Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design Department of Art and Design made a powerful pledge, saying, "We hereby pledge to work with enthusiasm for our studies and extracurricular activities together with the friends we will meet at this university, to acquire the 'Creative sensibility to shape the future. Practical skills to move the world.,' and to strive to become individuals who can bring vitality to industry, the region, and the world."
