On Thursday, February 12th, the 2025 Global Leadership Program(GLP) (GLP) certificate presentation ceremony was held, and certificates were presented to the 12 students who completed the program as part of the fourth GLP class.
In the presence of faculty and staff involved in the operation of GLP, President Kitajima presented each student with a certificate and congratulated them on completing the program.
In his speech after the presentation, President Kitajima praised the students for their efforts to improve their language skills, understand international issues, and develop flexible thinking. Furthermore, in light of their practical learning experiences, such as corporate internships and overseas language studies, he encouraged them, saying, "I hope you will grow into talented individuals who will play an active role in the international community."
Next, representing the fourth-year GLP students, Miyamoto Hana (Nakama High School), a fourth-year student Faculty of International Studies of Culture Department of International Studies of Culture, expressed her gratitude, saying, "At first, I was nervous about being in an environment where students from different faculties and departments came together, but as I continued to participate, I became so absorbed in learning that I forgot I was in class. Also, through the collaborative program with Stanford University's SPICE and overseas training, I was exposed to new perspectives and realized the importance of continuing to take on challenges. I would like to put the skills I gained at GLP to good use in my future life."
We hope that graduates will be able to demonstrate the skills they have developed in the GLP program in a new setting and take flight in society.
