On Monday, December 21st, original cosmetics developed by the Cosmetics Development Research Group of Faculty of Life Science were sold at the Fukuoka Christmas Advent venue (in front of the Guest House).
The study group, a research club of the faculty, had students test the effects of a number of ingredients and decide on the combination to develop a lotion and moisturizing lip product, which were commercialized in collaboration with Leading Lab Co., Ltd.
The lotion "Aquarella Lotion" contains our original "Sophora Root Extract" which helps to balance moisture and reduce skin inflammation, and "Wild Thyme Extract" which helps to improve skin texture. The moisturizing lip product "HARUMA" is made with horse oil, horse placenta, and kabosu essential oil from Yame, and is a product that pursues a naturally derived moisturizing feeling.
On the day, the students used flyers they had created themselves to explain the product's features to visitors, and actively promoted the product by having them try it out for themselves.
Yoshihara Annan (2nd year, Faculty of Life Science /Chikushi Jogakuen High School), a member of the study group, said, "We second-year students are selling cosmetics developed by our third-year seniors, so we created a flyer that included an explanation of the product's ingredients. We also received help from students from Faculty of Art and Design in taking the photos, and it was a great experience to create something that transcends faculties. We hope to use this sales experience, which we used to promote our university's efforts to spread awareness, in our future product development."
