From Thursday, December 18th to Thursday, December 25th, eight pieces of trick art (optical illusions) created by 12 students from Faculty of Art and Design and the Faculty of Faculty of Economics were exhibited at Fukuoka City Children's Hospital (Kasai Teruha, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City).
This project was started in place of the "Fukuoka Santa Walk" charity event, which was canceled six years ago to prevent the spread of COVID-19, with the hope of bringing smiles to the faces of hospitalized children, their families, and medical workers. Since the COVID-19 outbreak, it has been held simultaneously with the "Fukuoka Santa Walk in Chihaya." This time, students taking the "Practical Planning Seminar" course in the Faculty of Faculty of Economics came up with the theme for the trick art, and students from Faculty of Art and Design designed it during their "QUEST Seminar A" class.
This year, three story-based works and five works for the hospital wards were produced. The three story-based works were based on the theme "Let's all ring the bell!" set by Faculty of Economics. The stories were created using ChatGPT from keywords in idea sketches drawn by students Faculty of Art and Design, and were divided into three scenes.
The content is sure to excite children, with lines such as "Santa's bell is missing! Let's go find it!", "Santa is in big trouble!" and "Let's all ring the bell together!"
