In the final match of the 29th Kyushu Regional University Semi-Hardball Baseball Autumn Tournament, held on Monday, November 3rd (national holiday), our university's semi-hardball baseball team defeated Seinan Gakuin University 4-0 to take the championship.
As a result, the team has earned the right to be seeded first in the All-Japan University Semi-Hardball Baseball Championship Kyushu Tournament to be held in May next year.
Student coach Yanagida Hayato (3rd year, Faculty of Commerce Department of Business and Marketing of Commerce/Seirin High School) commented, "I am relieved that we were able to take over from our seniors who won last year and achieve results with our new team. We will view this victory as just a milestone and continue to train hard this winter to strengthen our team and achieve our main goal of winning the All-Japan University Semi-Hardball Baseball Championship."
The following selected members are scheduled to participate in the 43rd All-Japan University 9-Block Semi-Hardball Baseball Tournament, which will be held in Kagawa Prefecture from November 14th (Friday) to 16th (Sunday) and 21st (Friday), and the 4th All-Japan University Semi-Hardball Baseball Koshien Tournament, which will be held in Osaka Prefecture on November 21st (Friday).
