University of Hawaii West Oahu visits our university

On Tuesday, October 10th, a delegation from the University of Hawaii at West Oahu, including President Maenette Benham, visited our university to exchange opinions with President Misayoshi Kitajima faculty members and to tour the facilities.

The College of Foreign Languages at the University of Hawaii at West Oahu and our Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development signed an inter-faculty agreement in 2019. This time, a discussion was held with the aim of further expanding academic and student exchanges between the two universities.

The meeting began with the words "We are Ohana (family)," a message given to our school by the university's faculty, and the participants discussed past efforts and programs they would like to develop in the future.

President Kitajima said, "Our university is working to strengthen ties with overseas universities and organizations in order to cultivate global human resources. We would like to strengthen these ties so that many students, not just those in Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development, can gain experience abroad."

President Benham said, "Our mission is to create an environment in which students can thrive as global leaders. We would like to further promote collaboration in order to cultivate talented people who can lead an increasingly diversifying society."
