Connecting everyone in a learning circle ~Randoseru Land~

On Saturday, September 27th, AEON MALL Fukuoka (Kasuya-machi, Kasuya-gun) held a free used school bag donation event called "Randoseru Land," where participants could participate in games and take home their school bags on the spot. 102 school bags were donated, and 202 new school bags were donated.

"Randoseru Land" was jointly planned by Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design and the NPO "Next Generation Power FUKUOKA" (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City). This time, they also collaborated with the AEON Mall Fukuoka School Baton Touch Management Office, with uniform collection by "Seifuku Bank Fukuoka" and a stationery donation and adoption event by AEON Mall Fukuoka.

This year, marking the fourth year, a game area was prepared where children could put on their randoseru and challenge themselves with obstacles and target shooting games. Children chose their favorite from the randoseru on display, and then put on the randoseru and enjoyed a shooting game with a cardboard gun. Those who wanted to receive a randoseru were able to assemble an original presentation box with the students and place the randoseru inside to take home.

Many children were seen choosing a randoseru from the collection, each with their own unique color and decoration, and happily showing it off to their parents. Parents commented, "I was surprised at how many randoseru were in such good condition," and "I hope this event will make their children look forward to going to school." Others commented, "I saw the previous event on TV and wanted to donate, so I brought one," and it seems the term "Randoseru Rando" is gradually becoming more widely known.

Tomoe Matsumoto, a first-year student in Department of Art and Design junior college (Kyushu Sangyo University Kyushu High School), said with a smile, "The smiles on the faces of the children who participated in the event made a big impression on me. I was surprised at how well the donated school bags were in condition. I'm sure that's because they've been used and cared for for six years, so I hope that the recipients will also take good care of them. I would like to continue to be involved in designs and events that make people happy."

This activity will spread to other universities in the prefecture, and in the future, events will be held in Kitakyushu and Kurume cities, hosted by Kyushu International University and Kurume University.
