The Letter of Appreciation from the Kashii Shrine Memorial Association that was presented this time expresses gratitude and future respect from Kashii Shrine to the Kashii Shrine Memorial Association for their efforts in raising funds for the restoration project with the aim of rebuilding Kashii Shrine. It is a historical document that shows the connection between the Kashii region and Kashii Shrine.
Association representative Hakodate Kiyomi said, "I learned through Professor Ishikawa Yasunari of Department of Tourism, Faculty of Regional Collaboration that the university has a policy of developing academic research while working in collaboration with the Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development and that is when I decided to make a donation. I hope that it will be of some use." Library Director Professor Nishimura Kaori said, "Thank you very much for donating these valuable historical materials. I hope that as many students and local people as possible will be able to see them."
The donated materials are on display in the Special Materials Reading Room on the 4th floor of the library.
