"University Walk" for local residents held

On Thursday, November 14th, our university's Art Museum, in collaboration with Kashiigaoka Rehabilitation Hospital, held a health promotion event for 26 local residents called "University Walk: Enjoying an Autumn of Art and Exercise."

This event involves participants walking around campus and exercising after appreciating art through the museum. This was the first time the event was held, after the hospital asked if it was possible to hold an event on campus that would help participants relax both physically and mentally and lead to good health. The event was held with the support of hospital staff, museum staff, and six student volunteers.

Participants gathered in front of the museum and shared their impressions of the ongoing exhibition "Cygames Background Art Exhibition 2024-2025". Afterwards, they enjoyed a walk while listening to explanations about the garden waterway that runs through the center of the campus and the Kakiemon-style kiln. Finally, they exercised in front of the outdoor stage, providing an opportunity to experience the autumn of art and exercise on campus.

Participants commented, "This was my first time at Kyushu Sangyo University 's Art Museum, so I'd like to see other exhibitions," "The campus gardens were so beautiful I couldn't help but stop in my tracks," and "I had the opportunity to talk with university students, and I was inspired by their youthful energy."
