Ukrainian Student Support: Greetings to the Chairman before returning home

Anastasia Petelina Kharchenko, a Ukrainian student who has been studying at our university as a short-term student since July 2022, will return to her home country on Friday, November 24th to graduate from her university. On Tuesday, November 14th, she paid a farewell speech to Chancellor Kenji Tsugami along with the Yuki family, who have supported her in her life in Japan.

Kharchenko said, "At Kyushu Sangyo University, I was able to take Japanese language classes and challenge myself to study many new fields in Faculty of Art and Design, and I discovered the joy of learning. Thank you for supporting my stay. I will use this experience to do my best to become a bridge between Japan and Ukraine in the future." Chairman Tsugami added, "Please continue to cherish the connections you have with the friends and family you met at Kyushu Sangyo University and in Japan, in order to build friendly relations between the two countries in the future."

Our university is temporarily accepting Ukrainian students and researchers who are no longer able to safely study or conduct research due to Russia's armed invasion of Ukraine as research students, etc., and supporting them in continuing their education and research activities.
