Graduate Yumeno Sakoda will be competing in the Asia Rugby Sevens Series as a member of the Japanese women's rugby sevens team!

Yumeno Sakoda (Class of 2022, Faculty of Human Sciences Department of Sport Science and Health), a graduate of our university and a member of the women's rugby team Nanairo Prism Fukuoka, participated in the Asia Rugby Sevens Series in Thailand on Saturday, November 9th and Sunday, November 10th as a member of the Japanese women's rugby sevens team.

This year's Asia Rugby Sevens Series consisted of three tournaments, with the Korea Tournament held in early September and the China Tournament held in late September. Sakoda was selected for the Japanese national team for the first time in the Korea Tournament, where he achieved third place and second place in the China Tournament.

The final match of this year's tournament was against the same team as the previous tournament, China. Sakoda scored a try just before full time, and the team won 26-7, finishing the tournament with their first victory of the series.

We ask for your continued support for our graduate, Sakoda, and our women's rugby team, which she was a member of while at university!
