From July 25th (Saturday) to 28th (Tuesday), eleven students from Konyang University (South Korea), with whom we have an inter-university exchange agreement, visited our university and participated in an exchange program with our student public relations casters. This exchange followed a visit to Konyang University in February 2026.
On Saturday the 25th, following university introductions by students from both universities, Professor Matsuji Makiguchi of Faculty of Commerce Department of Business and Marketing Commerce, gave a special lecture entitled "A Comparison of Idol Marketing in Japan and Korea." After an exchange of opinions on the lecture topic, students from our university gave a presentation introducing Fukuoka.
On Sunday, the 26th, we held an open campus visit and a campus tour. Students from Konyang University experienced the campus facilities and atmosphere together with our students.
Lee Seunghye, one of the participants, said, "The time I spent interacting with everyone in Japan and sharing our thoughts was a truly valuable and enjoyable experience. I hope that we can continue to have wonderful connections and exchanges with everyone at Kyushu Sangyo University."Yui Sato, a fourth-year student in the Department of Department of Mechanical Engineering at Faculty of Science and Engineering (Koyo High School), reflected, "I was nervous on the first day, but I was able to talk a lot with everyone at Konyang University using translation apps and other tools, and we became good friends. We were able to understand the differences in Japanese and Korean culture, language, and values, and it was a great opportunity for me to want to further promote each university as a student public relations caster."
Additionally, on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th, nine faculty members from Konyang University visited Japan to inspect the planning and operational structure of our university's open campus event.
Our university and the university in question will continue to strengthen our relationship through ongoing and reciprocal educational exchanges.
