On Wednesday, March 25th, construction of the new indoor gymnasium on campus was completed, and a completion ceremony was held.
On the day of the ceremony, a Shinto priest from Kashii Shrine was invited to perform a solemn ritual expressing gratitude for the safe completion of the construction and praying for future safety and prosperity. In addition to university officials, those involved in the design and construction attended the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a ceremonial first pitch was thrown to celebrate the completion of the facility.
The newly completed indoor gymnasium is a single-story, prefabricated steel-frame building with a total floor area of approximately 610 square meters. It features artificial turf on the floor, two bullpens, three batting cages, and a multi-purpose space (20m x 17m) that can also be used for futsal and golf lessons.
This facility, which provides a training environment unaffected by weather conditions, is expected to be used for a wide range of purposes, including improving the athletic performance of baseball teams and other sports clubs, as well as for classes and extracurricular programs. Full-scale use is scheduled to begin in April 2026.
Our university will continue to strive to further enhance its educational and sports environments, and to create a campus that supports the growth of each and every student.
