On Monday, March 17th, the 2024 graduation ceremony was held at Okusu Arena 2020, and a total of 2,353 students, including 2,181 undergraduate graduates, 122 graduates Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design, and 50 graduate students, left Kyushu Sangyo University with their diplomas.
At the ceremony, President Misayoshi Kitajima (pictured right) spoke about the changes in the environment surrounding modern society and the complex challenges that come with them, encouraging the graduates to "challenge themselves with ingenuity and demonstrate their power to open up the future." He also encouraged the graduates to develop a multifaceted perspective through exchanges with different fields in this age of increasing globalization, saying, "Use your learning that integration of humanities, sciences, and arts sciences, and sciences to soar into a new world of diversity, equity, and inclusion."
Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design President Kota Odabe (pictured left) said that the "creativity/power to generate" and "power to express/power to take action" that the graduates have developed over the past two years are highly sought after in a society undergoing a period of change, and encouraged the graduates by saying, "It is you yourselves that will open up the future."
Representatives of the graduating class were Tachibana Yu from Faculty of International Studies of Culture Department of International Studies of Culture and Sato Yuna from the Department of Department of Art and Design Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design. They expressed their gratitude, saying, "When we enrolled, our student life began at Okusu Arena with both anxiety and excitement for the new environment. Although it was difficult to take online classes, we got used to it after a few sessions and it became a part of our new lifestyle. It was because of this Kyushu Sangyo University, the importance of hard work, and above all the joy of connecting with people through specialized learning and projects have given us the courage to move forward together with society."
