Vice President Sen receives "Yanagawa City Merger 20th Anniversary Commemorative Award"

 

On Sunday, October 19th, at the "Yanagawa City Merger 20th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony" held at Yanagawa Civic Cultural Hall, Vice President Senso TetsuDepartment of Tourism Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development received the "Achievement Award."

This award recognizes distinguished individuals in various fields who have contributed to the development of the city, and since Vice President Sen was commissioned by Yanagawa City to formulate the "Yanagawa Tourism Promotion Plan" in 2008, he has played a central role for many years, including producing the "Eel Meal Map" twice and proposing the "Suigo Yanagawa Leisurely Trip," a program that allows people to experience the charms of Yanagawa.In 2021, as chairman of the "Yanagawa City Canal and Tourism Coexistence Review Committee," he conducted a multifaceted study of the effects and challenges of tourism utilizing the canals, held repeated discussions with citizens and stakeholders, and proposed sustainable tourism promotion measures, and was highly praised for his significant contributions to the revitalization of Yanagawa City, particularly to the promotion of tourism.

It is expected that through this collaboration with our university, the local community and the university will continue to work together to contribute to the further development of Yanagawa City and the promotion of tourism.
