"CEDEC+KYUSHU2024" to be held at our university

On Saturday, November 23rd, "CEDEC+KYUSHU2024" was held at our university, with approximately 1,300 people from all over the country participating.

This event is one of the largest conferences in Kyushu, providing the latest technical information from Kyushu to computer entertainment developers. Information is disseminated not only to Kyushu but to the whole of Japan, and was held as a hybrid of an on-site event and an online (time-shifted) event.

In addition, Lecturer Yasuaki Sumida from the Department of Information Faculty of Science and Engineering Department of Information Science, took to the stage for a talk session. Under the theme of "Let's make a game - what you can gain from game development," he introduced the results of KSU Project-based Education"Let's Make a Game Lab" that he teaches, and talked about what students can learn through the projects.

In addition, the free Wi-Fi in the venue was set up by Team BAKUCHIKU. The group is a mixed team of working network engineers and students, and 16 students from the Department of Information Science and Graduate School of Information Science participated. The team leader this time was a graduate of Department of Information Science.
