Our school Faculty of Commerce has concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with Osaka Small and Medium Enterprise Investment and Consultation Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). The purpose of this agreement is to promote education and research related to small and medium enterprises, as well as the development of local communities and human resource development for mid-tier and small enterprises that are primarily based in Kyushu.
The company is a policy implementation organization established under the Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Promotion Corporation Act, and engages in investment and other businesses to promote the enhancement of equity capital of small and medium enterprises and support their healthy growth and development.
With this agreement, the Faculty of Commerce will hold classes such as the "Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Management Course" where managers and executives from prominent small and medium-sized enterprises and B2B companies based in Kyushu will give lively lectures and Q&A sessions on management. The university will also develop project-based learning (PBL) to provide ideas that will lead to solving problems faced by companies and creating new businesses. Furthermore, the two universities will promote joint research on small and medium-sized enterprises.
Through these efforts, it is expected that our students will gain a deeper understanding of the region's leading medium-sized and small businesses. In the medium to long term, it is expected that these students will grow into middle managers and intrapreneurs, becoming people who will contribute to the local community. With a shortage of human resources facing leading local medium-sized and small businesses, securing talented human resources from our university is expected to enable them to make further contributions to the region.
