Faculty of Commerce seminar exhibits at "Industry-Academia-Government Techno Exchange Meeting 2025"

On Wednesday, October 29th, the 24th Industry-Academia-Government Techno Exchange Meeting, sponsored by the Kurume Research Park Public Interest Incorporated Foundation, was held at Kurume Research Park. At the event, the seminars of Hou Lijuan and Nishimura Kaori from the Department of Business and Marketing Faculty of Commerce exhibited posters showcasing the results of their industry-academia collaboration activities with Hagiwara Olive Farm (Kurume City).

Both seminars are working with the farm to research and implement the possibilities of a "regionally circular fragrance brand." The exhibition showcased student-led initiatives such as marketing ideas for aroma products, a cafe business concept, and public relations activities aimed at revitalizing the local area.

On the day, a corner was set up where visitors could try the farm's aroma oils, and a survey was conducted on visitors regarding their aroma experiences. The company is also working to collect empirical data for use in formulating future marketing strategies.

We plan to continue developing this as a practical project in the future, where students can learn about problem-solving and value creation together with local companies.
