
From Thursday, October 30th to Tuesday, November 4th, 22 students enrolled in the "Asia Business Training A" course participated in a training program at Chungnam National University in South Korea, led by Associate Professor Fang Huimei and Associate Professor Hou Congcong of the Department of Department of Business and Marketing Faculty Faculty of Commerce.
Our university and Chungnam National University have signed an international exchange agreement, which has been ongoing for 32 years, making it the university's longest-running international exchange. Mutual exchanges are active, with students from Chungnam National University visiting our university in August this year.
Prior to the training, the students set research themes such as "Comparison of convenience stores in Japan and Korea," "Differences in supermarket sales methods," "Characteristics of cosmetics sales and marketing strategies," and "Differences in consumer behavior in Japan and Korea," and conducted preliminary study.
When I visited Korea, I was in awe of the city known as a science and research city. On the second day, the students attended a lecture on international trade by Professor Kim Min-jung of Chungnam National University's Faculty of Economics. They learned about the degree of trade dependence between Japan and South Korea, as well as economic relations with the United States. As the visit coincided with the APEC summit being held in South Korea, they were able to learn about the latest topics in international relations, making it a very meaningful learning opportunity for the students.
