Faculty of Science and Engineering held a mini open campus!

On Saturday, August 23rd, Faculty of Science and Engineering held a mini open campus, with approximately 90 high school students and their parents in attendance.

 After a presentation about the new Faculty of Science and Faculty of Science and Engineering (reorganized in April 2026) by Lecturer Sadakata Atsuo of Department of Electrical Engineering, the program included workshops where students could experience the excitement of specialized fields and individual consultation sessions with faculty members.

University students also lent support to the workshop, providing an opportunity for participants to have fun learning about the connection between their studies in Faculty of Science and Engineering and Engineering and society through activities such as "Learn how sound works through programming!" and "Your first experience with a 'thinking robot'."

Participants, who also experienced the rich learning environment, including the Collaborium and laboratories, shared their impressions, saying, "I had fun learning and my future goals have become clearer," "I'm interested in fields other than the workshop I participated in today and would like to participate again," and "I was given one-on-one instruction on the entrance exam system, which was a really good experience."

Faculty of Science and Engineering Mini Open Campus will continue to be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, and Saturday, February 28, 2026. We are preparing programs that allow you to experience the appeal of the new department and the fascination of the science and engineering fields.
