Faculty of Science and Engineering Department of Information Science of Inaga Laboratory and Yasutake Laboratory At the request of Munakata City, the Regional Public Transportation Operation Management Support Group, which is based on the above organization, assisted in creating data in GTFS-JP (public transportation open data) format for the Miyawaka-Munakata Line, a bus route connecting Munakata City and Miyawaka City.
This data will be reflected in Google Maps route searches from Friday, July 4th, making it easier for users to check bus routes and times from their smartphones or PCs.
The Miyawaka-Munakata Line is operated by Chikuho Kanko, but is operated based on a tripartite agreement between Munakata City, Miyawaka City, and Chikuho Kanko Co., Ltd. This project marks the first time that our research group has assisted in the creation of GTFS-JP data for a route operated by a private transportation company.
This initiative is expected to improve convenience for local residents and tourists, and also promote the use of public transportation. Please make use of it when visiting the area.
