On Friday, December 19th, a sports science measurement seminar taught by Professor Goichi Hagiwaraof the Department Department of Sport Science and Health Faculty of Human Sciences was held entitled "What is self-production in sports management?" - a collaborative class with Omura Beauty and Fashion College.
This class focuses on the increasing number of cases in the modern sports world where athletes use makeup and other methods to improve their appearance before competition, and examines the impact that actually wearing makeup has on oneself and others.
On the day, eight students had their hair and makeup done by students from the school. Afterwards, everyone filled out a form to evaluate how their mood and impression changed. Students who observed the hair and makeup being done up close commented, "They look really cool and confident," "Their skin looks radiant and beautiful even more than usual," and "I'll try that when I play."
Tanaka Akira, a first-year student in the same department (Kyushu Sangyo University Kyushu High School), said, "It was my first time trying makeup so I was a bit nervous, but it felt good, and when I saw the finished product I felt more attractive and it gave me confidence."
