Multiple awards at the "Fukuoka 48-Hour Film Project 2025"!

At the Fukuoka 48-Hour Film Project 2025, the team "Diaman Studio," comprised of students from Department of Photography and Imaging Arts Faculty of Art and Design, won the Screenplay Award, Student Division Award, Jury Special Award, and Fukuoka Mayor's Award.

The project brings together video creators active mainly in Fukuoka, competing to see which team can create the best short film in 48 hours. Lines, props, and character names are given as a common theme for all teams, and the genre of the film is decided by drawing lots for each team just before production begins.

The title of the short film shot by students who drew the "workplace" genre is "Ten." Based on the concept of "a protagonist who is job-hunting takes an interview at a mysterious company," the film uses ingenious location art and color grading to create a mysterious worldview.

Kinoshita Yasumasa, a fourth-year student in the same department (Fukuoka University Ohori High School), who directed, filmed and edited the film, said, "We received multiple awards and are extremely happy to have won the Fukuoka Mayor's Award, which we had been aiming to win since the last competition. Many members of other teams spoke to us at the screening and award ceremony, and we really felt that our work had reached someone and been seen. We will never forget this feeling and will continue to create works that many people will see. We are also deeply grateful to all the cast and staff for their cooperation, as without them we would not have been able to produce the film, let alone win an award! I am especially happy that my classmates and I were able to participate together as a culmination of four years of hard work and receive such a big award."
