A video projection depicting the "Future of Sue Town" was held at Suedai Elementary School

On Saturday, December 6th, as part of the "Suepika" illumination lighting event organized by the "Healthy Community" in the Suedai Elementary School district, the Iwata Atsushi Laboratory Department of Social Design Faculty of Art and Design at our university performed a video projection depicting the "future of Sue Town" on the school building at night.

For this project, all students attending the school created a projection video during the summer vacation based on the town's theme of "A Town of Water, Greenery, and Light," depicting a future Sue town where birds, insects, and other creatures coexist with nature. On the day of the event, the projection began along with a countdown! The colorful video lit up the school building, and children cheered, saying things like, "The picture I drew is on the screen!" and "It's amazing how the university students can move the picture!" They could be seen enjoying the video with their families.

Core members of the department, third-year students Umezaki Miwa (Denshukan High School), Kamezaki Mizuho (Yamamon High School), and Nakamura Shinka (Shingu High School), who were involved in the production and preparation, said, "We each took on the role of creating visuals such as the event posters and editing the data for the projection video. We set a theme to express the essence of Sue Town and put a lot of effort into the production. It was a lot of work to create content using approximately 700 pieces of work from all the students, but the works that the children worked so hard on were all full of emotion, and we worked hard with the desire to show them on video projection! We were very happy to see the children's happy faces today."
