On Thursday, December 18th, Professor Masahiko Tashiro ofDepartment of Tourism Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development and 12 third-year seminar students held an online report session for officials from Soeda Town Hall (Fukuoka Prefecture) on the results of the survey conducted from August to November in the "Soeda Town Digital Stamp Rally with Questionnaire."
This project, which began in fiscal year 2024, is part of the Fukuoka Regional Strategy Promotion Council (FDC) MICE Strategy Promotion Subcommittee's support for digital human resource development, and aims to establish a tourism town development DX model through industry-government-academia collaboration, with the cooperation of OPTAGE Inc. (Osaka Prefecture) and the Soeda Town Commerce, Industry and Tourism Promotion Division.
The questionnaire for this stamp rally was devised by students who had visited the area. Using the company's digital tourism platform "Taview," participants visited all 25 spots in the town and were entered into a lottery for prizes related to the town.
At the presentation, the respondents' attributes, tourist purposes, impressions of Soeda Town, transportation methods, etc. were shared along with the analysis results. Based on these, proposals focusing on existing resources were made, such as "measures to attract young people" and "plans to revitalize the natural environment and the Hikoboshi BRT Line."
A town official commented, "The analysis using detailed data is truly impressive. There were some results that we hadn't anticipated, which helped us to reaffirm the appeal of Soeda Town. It was also a valuable opportunity to hear proposals from the perspective and angle that only people in their 20s can offer."
