Students and faculty who participated in the comparison commented, "I can't tell which is tap water," and "I'll try to drink tap water from now on."
Shinichi Onaka (Musashidai High School), a third-year student in the Department of Tourism Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development said, "I participated in this project because I wanted people to know that my hometown of Fukuoka provides safe, delicious water. It was my first time taking a class taught by a professor from another department, and it was a valuable experience that broadened my horizons. I would like to use the insights I gained from this PR activity in the future."
Associate Professor Yukihira is also working with students on other community-based initiatives, such as participating in a PR project aimed at securing human resources to handle the waterworks business.
