On Saturday, June 14th, 16 members of the semi-hardball baseball club held a "Play Baseball" event in collaboration with Koga City at Koga Civic Gymnasium, with approximately 20 local children participating.
The day started with gymnastics, followed by batting and throwing practice, and then some simple games. The children played some heated matches and enjoyed playing with the students.
Nii Ibuki (2nd year, Department of Department of Sport Science and Health Faculty of Human Sciences /Joto High School), a member of the club who participated, said, "With the spread of smartphone games and the like, children have fewer opportunities to play outside, so it was great to be able to convey the joy of moving your body and having fun through the experience of playing sports with a large group of people." Manager Kawazu Nozomi (2nd year, same department/Seika Girls' High School) said, "All the children who participated were meeting each other for the first time, but they had fun playing together, and it was fun for us too. We would like to continue this activity in the future."
