On Sunday, November 2nd, Yuki Hatano (2nd year student, Department of Tourism, Faculty Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development Beppu Tsurumigaoka High School) from our university's Shorinji Kempo club participated in the team demonstration event at the 59th All Japan Shorinji Kempo Student Tournament held at the Nippon Budokan.
Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the preliminary round, but it was an excellent opportunity for them to study the demonstrations of other universities and use them as reference for structuring their own demonstration, providing them with excellent practice for the next competition.
The club's manager, Nakanishi Isshin (2nd year, Department of Department of Business and Marketing Faculty of Commerce /Sue High School), said, "Seeing the high level of the strong schools made me want to perform a demonstration like that! We will use this disappointment as motivation to work hard as a team to take first place at the All Kyushu Tournament in December."
