On Sunday, August 31st, the Pro Wrestling Research Club held a 40th anniversary event at our university's gymnasium, Okusu Arena 2020.
This tournament celebrated the milestone of the club, which has been promoting the appeal of student wrestling since its founding in 1985, and in addition to current members, many alumni wrestlers participated. A large number of spectators came to the venue.
A total of six matches were held on the day, with current club members captivating the audience with their unique performances and skill exchanges. In the match between alumni, a great match was played, showcasing skill and passion, creating a great excitement in the venue.
At the commemorative ceremony, congratulatory messages were delivered from alumni who are currently active as professional wrestlers, professional wrestler Togi Makabe who is a friend of the club, and entertainer Kunihiro Matsumura who was in charge of announcements while attending the university, and alumni, related parties, and students came together to look back on the club's 40-year history.
