The Kendo Club has been selected to compete in the All Japan Student Kendo Championship (team competition)!

At the Kyushu Student Kendo Championship (Team Competition) held on Saturday, September 6th, the Kendo Club (Men's) made it into the top 8, and have been selected to compete for the second consecutive year at the 73rd All Japan Student Kendo Championship (Team Competition) to be held at ASUE Arena (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture) on Sunday, November 16th.

In the Kendo Club, we place importance on being able to practice as effectively as possible within a limited time, and we practice hard every day, exchanging opinions across the boundaries between seniors and juniors.

Captain Ishigo Taisei (4th year, Department Department of Sport Science and Health Faculty of Human Sciences /Fukuoka Maizuru High School) said confidently, "Although everyone was nervous in this match, I feel that the results of our efforts in preparation for the match were evident. However, we were unable to achieve our goal of placing third or higher. We will use this disappointment as motivation to continue practicing hard at the All Japan Championships, with the goal of making it to at least the top eight, and to become number one in Japan!"

Please support the Kendo Club as they make further strides!
