On Sunday, July 12th, at the 76th Kyushu Regional University Athletic Meet (Karate Competition) held at the Sasebo City Eastern Sports Plaza Gymnasium (Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture), our university's karate club won first place in the men's team kumite division and third place in the women's team kumite division.

In the men's individual kata division, Koki Sakai (4th year, Department Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics / Shinsokan High School) won first place, and in the women's individual kata division, Miwa Tanaka (4th year, Department Department of Sport Science and Health, Faculty Faculty of Human Sciences Sciences / Kurume Commercial High School) won first place, achieving the remarkable feat of winning the tournament for the second consecutive year.
