On Sunday, May 24th, at the 63rd West Japan University Karate Championships held at Kinki University Memorial Hall (Osaka Prefecture), Koharu Sato (1st year student, Department Department of Childhood Education Faculty of Human Sciences / Gotemba Nishi High School), a member of our university's karate club, won third place in the women's individual kata division.
Despite being only a first-year student, Sato achieved excellent results, and she reflected, "I'm genuinely happy with these results. The West Japan tournament is very competitive, so I approached it with the goal of giving it my all and being prepared to take on the challenge. I think the All Japan tournament in June will be even more competitive, so I'll give it my all and leave no regrets."
