On Sunday, May 17th, at the 67th All Kyushu Student Karate Championships held at Kanzaki Central Park Gymnasium in Saga Prefecture, our university's karate club achieved remarkable victories in the men's individual kumite (over 75kg), women's individual kumite (over 55kg), and women's individual kata (forms) categories.

Furthermore, athletes who achieve outstanding results in this tournament will advance to the "70th All Japan Intercollegiate Karate Championships," which will be held from June 27th (Saturday). Prior to the national tournament, they will compete in the "63rd West Japan University Karate Championships," which will be held from May 24th (Sunday) at the Kinki University Memorial Hall (Higashi-Osaka City).
Captain Hayato Nagabuchi said, "I think the fact that we were able to work together as a team during practice has resulted in this wonderful outcome. The new members also did a great job, such as actively cheering us on during practice, which boosted the motivation of the entire team. We will continue to work hard in practice, making the most of the stronger unity we now have as a team."
