On Monday, March 23rd, an awards ceremony was held for the student teams whose plans were selected as outstanding in a contest for a practical special lecture conducted by Professor Harumi Kagawa of the Department Department of Housing and Interior Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, which combined 3D-CAD and generation AI.
This lecture was conducted by the professor in cooperation with Anshin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Fukuoka City) and LibWork Co., Ltd. (Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture), and aims to cultivate a practical perspective and the ability to adapt to the latest technologies so that students can immediately contribute to the field after graduation.
The evaluation process combined "design aesthetics" based on public voting via the web, "ideas and originality" judged by professional designers, and "housing performance (earthquake resistance, insulation, etc.)" based on numerical values calculated by CAD. The best plans that successfully balanced design and practical housing performance were selected.
