On Tuesday, March 17th, the 2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held at "Okusu Arena 2020," and a total of 2,465 students—2,250 undergraduate graduates, 133 graduates Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design, and 82 graduate school graduates—graduated from Kyushu Sangyo University with their degrees in hand.
At the ceremony, President Misayoshi Kitajima offered warm encouragement, saying, "The environment surrounding us is changing rapidly, and we have entered an era where we must confront challenges for which there are no easy answers. We need the courage to take on challenges with creativity and ingenuity, and the ability to put those ideas into action. By combining learning and experience with perspectives from different fields, people can transcend boundaries and view things from multiple angles. I hope that you will use integration of humanities, sciences, and arts learning you have cultivated at this university as a foundation to soar into the global society of the next generation. In everything, the future changes depending on whether you do it or not. Please keep challenging yourselves."
Kenji Yanagi President Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design encouraged the students by saying, "Artistic expression is an endeavor that confronts social issues and the complex emotions of people, proposes new values to society, and enriches the hearts of people and the way society is. You are about to step into a new world. Do not be afraid of failure, and take a step forward on your own two feet. That step is the starting point of creation. Please believe in your own sensibilities and use the power of art to forge your own future and the future of society. I sincerely hope that the step you take from now on will lead to the creation of a new era."
As representatives of the graduating class, Aoi Ogawa from the Faculty of Collaborative Regional Development Department of Regional Development, and Shige Wada from the Department of Department of Art and Design Kyushu Sangyo University, Zokei Junior College of Art and Design College of Art and Design, took the stage. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude, saying, "We were able to reach this graduation day safely today thanks to the guidance of our teachers and staff, and the warm support of our families. We faced many difficulties in our studies and job hunting, but the presence of our teachers and friends who were always there for us was a great source of support. We are confident that every lesson we learned in this place, where we met friends who inspired and challenged each other, has helped us grow significantly."
Also on the same day, at the ceremony venue, we presented each graduating student with an original poster from our university, offering our best wishes.
