Our university installed water dispensers exclusively for personal bottles at five locations on campus starting June 15th (Monday).
This initiative aims to prevent heatstroke caused by recent extreme heat, reduce the financial burden on students, and decrease plastic waste such as plastic bottles. We have installed water dispensers with water purification functions that accept reusable bottles, and they are available for use by anyone, including current students, faculty and staff, as well as visitors to open campus events and other events.
Students who used the water dispenser commented, "It's very convenient," "It saves water, which is very helpful," and "I hope they keep it installed."
Our university will continue to promote initiatives to create a campus environment where students can study with peace of mind.
