FPM is a designated exchange financial instruments market for professional investors that opened on December 16, 2024, as the third market following the main market and the Q-Board market of the Fukuoka Stock Exchange, the first in 24 years. They proposed revitalization ideas unique to a professional market established by a regional stock exchange in Kyushu, such as "Consideration of the background and development factors of the market's establishment" based on interviews with those involved when the FPM was opened, and "Disclosure of companies' listing objectives," focusing on the fact that many companies list on the FPM with the aim of strengthening their sales capabilities in Western Japan and Kyushu.

Following the judging, the teams that proposed "Market and Kitakyushu City revitalization through industry-academia collaboration with an FPM-listed company (Life Create Co., Ltd.)" and "Proposals for supporting step-up listings from FPM to Q-Board" received the Excellence Award, while the team that proposed "Eliminating regional requirements for the Q-Board market to increase step-up listings from FPM" received the Special Award.

Market participants praised the students' proposals, saying, "Our honest impression is that they were well-researched. They focused on the points we consider to be challenges, and we felt their perspective was excellent. This is the third year of this initiative, and we were impressed that the content has become more concrete each year."
